AKWB AT GOVERNOR'S BROTHER'S WEDDING OCCASION
With so much glee and assurance of a beautiful future together, Eno Umoadiaemu of Mbiaso Village (Ikot Ekpene Local Government of Akwa Ibom State) exchanged marital vows with Nsentip Akpabio of Ukana Ikot Ntuen (Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State) at an impressive ceremony which witnessed a select gathering of top dignitaries and government functionaries.
The solemnization of Holy Matrimony took place at Groves Memorial Cathedral Methodist Church, Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom State, on Saturday 24th November, 2007. The mood of the congregation was in consonance with the celebration therein. Punctuated by prayers, hymns and thanksgiving, the joy resplendent in the congregation was contagious. In his sermon, the Methodist priest enjoined the couple to love each other unconditionally and advised them to uphold the sanctity of marriage and not allow a third party wade into their affairs.
The Akwa Ibom West Divisional Band - AKWB (B/M Joseph M. Akpan) was the guest Band at the wedding occasion. To an appreciative crowd, the band played 3 pieces - Trumpet Tune (Purcell, arr. Ray S. Allen) with trumpet soloist Edidiong Williams, Crown Him With Many Crowns (Charles Skinner), and Joy In the Air (Joseph M. Akpan).
The groom, Mr Nsentip Akpabio is a songster and the Young People's Sergeant Major (YPSM) of The Salvation Army, and Governor Godswill Akpabio's younger brother.
The Akwa Ibom West Divisional Music and other Creative Art Groups exist to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the medium of music and other arts like drama, timbrel, dance, creative writing and other forms of artistic expression.

Joseph has been involved in mainstream Salvation Army music making as Young People's Singing Company Leader, Songster Leader, Bandmaster, & as instructor at music camps around Nigeria Territory. An able and captivating speaker and a gifted composer, Joseph is a godly man of boundless energy and enthusiasm in the work of the Lord. Joseph serves the Akwa Ibom West Division of The Salvation Army in Nigeria as Music & Other Creative Arts Ministries Director - providing leadership, direction and creative programming for all phases of music ministry and other gospel arts programmes. He's conducted the Akwa Ibom West Band since 1997. Joseph studied Fine Arts (Painting) at the University of Uyo, Nigeria. He seeks in all his living to model Christ, and has had opportunity to share his faith through music and the spoken Word at Singapore, Zimbabwe, the Republic of Congo and USA. Joseph lives in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, with his wife Helen, and together they are Salvationists at Uyo Corps where Helen is a Songster and the Corps Timbrel Leader, and Joseph leads the Corps' Young Adults Prayer Group, Evangelical Team and the Band.
